Roman Chamomile Essential Oil

Roman Chamomile Essential Oil 224x300

Roman Chamomile is steam distilled from the daisy-like flower of the plant and has a fresh, apple-like aroma that calms and relaxes the mind and body.  This oil is one of the chamomiles that is the most versatile.  Affecting the Nervous System, Skin, and Emotional Balance, Roman Chamomile soothes these symptoms within the body and supports a healthy inflammatory response.

This oil was used by the Romans to give courage in battle and clear their minds.  And the French used it for neuralgia, intestinal parasites, nervous shock, and neuritis.  Folklore has also said that it is the plant’s physician as it has been known to help any ailing plant it is placed near.  Because of its strong therapeutic properties, it is known as a personifer when it blends with other oils like Geranium, Lavender, Clary Sage, and Rose.

If you have sensitive skin, dilute Roman Chamomile before applying 1 drop to 1 drop fractionated coconut oil.  Most will not need the oil to be diluted.  When diffused it combats insomnia, depression, stress and eliminates anxiety, nervousness, and irritability.  It also promotes patience and peace.  You can also take Roman Chamomile internally 1 drop to 1 tsp honey or in 4 oz of beverage.

  1. I never received guide on doTERRA Essential Oils. I would like to know more. The prices are a bit high for us older persons who truly need some of the products but can’t afford on such limited incomes.
